Intervac Plans
We have already participated in several international home exchanges and home hosting. We are looking forward to more opportunities for the same. At present, we are registered with Intervac. Our Intervac member number is AUOC0403.
There is a description of our house in Tuncurry and the surrounding area on the Tuncurry page of this site.
We currently have a silver Mitsubishi Lancer wagon to offer. This vehicle comfortably seats two adults and three children, or four adults.
We are also happy to discuss the possibility of exchanging hospitality or exchanging at times other than those mentioned on the Intervac site. We will answer any enquiries, even if we are unable to make an exchange. We enjoy meeting new friends through Intervac.
In July/August 2005, we travelled throughout England, Scotland, Wales, Denmark and Sweden. Our trip lasted for 10 weeks. We had two weeks in Sweden, enjoying a wonderful exchange (with hospitality) through Intervac.
During our 9-week trip in July/August 2008, we travelled to Northern Scotland and enjoyed hospitality exchanges in The Netherlands (Arnhem), Finland (Tampere), Switzerland (Solothurn) and France (Hendaye and Nimes).
In August 2012 we enjoyed a two week Intervac hospitality visit to Tahiti.
We tend to travel overseas for extended periods but only stay with Intervac friends for about one or two weeks each. It suits us to do this about every three years. We hope that our next major trip will be to North America.
